Purpose of the Role

To ensure the safe operation and security of the vessel to which he has been assigned and to provide a link between the Company at the most senior level.

Reports To

Chief Engineer

• Responsible of the overall safety and seaworthiness of the vessel

• Manage the carriage of dangerous goods

• Maneuver and handle the vessel in all weather and traffic conditions

• On time work delivery.
• Accurate and on time internal and external communication.
• Customer satisfaction.
• Good internal working relationships.
  

Working Experience

• Unlimited Class 2 Engineering Certificate of Competency.
• Minimum of 1 year sailing experience in the rank.
• Scoring at least 70% in Marlins English test.
• Confidence in basic computing – Microsoft Office, etc.
• Advantageous to have experience with DNV ShipManager software.
