Eastaway is proud to announce that it has held the signing ceremony with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard for 4 newbuilds.
The 4 x 7000 TEU newbuilds, will complement the 4 x 7000 TEU newbuilds ordered from the same yard earlier in the year, as well as Eastaway’s existing fleet of over 50 vessels.
The newbuilds will be the largest in Eastaway’s fleet, contributing to their long-term fleet renewal as well as their company emission targets.
The newbuilds, which will help reduce fuel consumption and Greenhouse Gas emissions by 30-40%, demonstrate Eastaway’s commitment to a greener future for shipping.
At the signing ceremony, Captain R.S. Minhas, Eastaway Managing Director said:
“The signing of these newbuilds with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard, signifies an exciting new chapter for Eastaway. This fleet renewal signifies the journey that we have taken from our first two vessels, a decade ago to our current fleet and beyond. I am excited to see our growing fleet address the needs of our customers now, and in the future.”
